Local On-Device Storage

Processed Locally Only

Imported PDF file references, reading progress bookmarks (current page, paragraph index, and scroll position), text-to-speech voice selections, playback speeds, and visual reading themes (Light, Dark, Sepia) are stored locally in your device's private SQLite database and sandboxed application storage.

Data Types: Scoped file URIs and file names of imported documents, Reading progress bookmarks (last active page and sentence tracking index), Text-to-speech preferences (playback speed rate 0.75x–2.0x, selected voice engine, and pitch), Visual appearance preferences (Light, Dark, Sepia reading modes and font scaling)

Scoped Document Access (Android Storage Access Framework)

Processed Locally Only

When you import a document, the application uses Android's native system document picker (Storage Access Framework) to obtain temporary or persistent read permission for that specific file only. Processed Locally Only

Text extraction and speech synthesis are executed 100% on your local device hardware using Android's native TextToSpeech APIs (such as Google Speech Services or system voice engines). No document text, sentence extracts, or generated audio files are ever sent to cloud speech servers or third-party AI endpoints.

User Control: Voice selection, pitch, and playback rate can be adjusted or stopped at any time via the player controls or settings.

Foreground Service & Notification Playback Controls
